Ubee
Ubee offers several Charter-compatible modems. One model, the DDW3611 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem combined with a wireless router, offers support for up to 802.11n wireless networks and has enough bandwidth to support the Internet needs for homes or businesses. The DDW3611 supports upstream speeds over 120 Mbps and downstream speeds up to 300 Mbps. Security protocols supported by the DDW3611 include WPS, WPA/WPA2 and SPI Firewall.
Ubee also offers another model of a DOCSIS 3.0 modem without a wireless router — the U10C035. This model supports IPv6, but has slightly slower speeds with an upstream speed of 120 Mbps and a downstream speed of 160 Mbps. Dual-colored, constantly-lit LEDs help to diagnose connectivity problems with the modem.
Motorola
Motorola make a SURFboard SB5101 cable modem that is compatible with Charter. The SURFboard modem has a front panel with indicator LEDs to highlight the connectivity status. The modem has LEDs to indicate power, standby, activity level, online, receiving and sending activity. The SURFboard cable modem supports DOCSIS 2.0 and offers an upstream speed of 30 Mbps.
Cisco
Cisco offers a variety of cable modems and routers. One model, the DPC3000, meets the requirements for DOCSIS 3.0, but also offers compatibility for previous versions back to DOCSIS 1.0. The DCP3000 supports up to 64 users and has upstream speeds of 120 Mbps and downstream speeds of 160 Mbps. The modem provides a USB 2.0 data port and can support multiple Ethernet hubs.
Cisco makes another cable modem that supports VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol — the DPC2607. This model offers support for digital voice services, in addition to the traditional cable data services. The modem provides unlimited local and long-distance calls. The DCP2607 has many of the same features as the DPC3000, such as support for 64 users. It also has two lines to support simultaneous data and voice usage.
